ACE SPORTS RACING TEAM SETS THEIR SIGHTS ON THE 2017 TITLES!

For 2017 the GAC Laser and Ace Sports motocross teams have
combined to form a team of very talented riders, all who
are very passionate about motocross and who all achieved
fantastic results in 2016. The team is based in Cape Town,
managed by Eric Barnard from GAC and captained by Anthony
(L-R) Keegan Barnard (# 38),
Anthony Raynard (# 23), Luke Du Toit (# 20),
Adrian De Hutton (# 7), Josh De Hutton
(# 40) and Neil van der Vyver (# 1).
50cc Neil Van Der Vyver #1
Neil is our youngest rider and the 2016 African Champion,
South African National and local WP Champion in the 50cc
class. Neil was awarded his Protea colours in 2016, a great
achievement at such a young age and will also be defending
his title in 2017.
85cc Ike Klaassen #44
Ike is our 85cc rider who missed a few events in 2016 to
focus on his downhill mountain bike racing where he was
crowned the WORLD Jnr Downhill Mountain Bike Champion in
2015 and 2016, another fantastic achievement at such a young
85cc Josh De Hutton #40
Josh is our other talented 85cc rider that is expected to
do well in 2017.
MX 2 Luke Du Toit #20
Luke is one of our talented local riders that finished matric
in 2016 and will be looking to take up the challenge in
the MX 2 class this year.
Senior Support Keegan Barnard #38
Keegan will be participating in the Senior Support class
this year as he is in matric and schooling will be his main
MX 3 Adrian De Hutton #7
Adrian is our Grand Master with many, many years of riding
and experience behind him and always helps out the boys
in the team with advice.
MX 1 + MX 2 Anthony Raynard #23
Anthony is our local WP Regional Champion who also achieved
podium positions in both senior 2016 SA National Championships
(MX 1 / MX 2) and also our Team Captain. Anthony was also
the 2012 MX 2 SA National Champion and has already achieved
Western Province and SA colours. Anthony participated in
two international events this year finishing 6th in Poland
and 3rd in India.
